In Between Rides

My Substack is alive!!! I edit and change post here to keep sane.

While Driving rideshare I have a lot of human interaction. 20K rides on both platforms so my hard drive, iCloud, Notepad and Voice Memos are filled with impressions of interactions and observations while driving people all over the city.

I write in parking lots or do Voice Memos at stop lights while waiting for the next request.

I have to do something.

Some of us live in a world distracted by appearances, so I try to focus on the underlying mechanisms.

A old friend from the 80s said my approach to life was "like bourbon - strong, unfiltered, and with a touch of defiance." That's how 'Straight Bourbon' became my nickname - a reflection of my drive to cut through illusions and live with authenticity.
